⚽ AI Agents & Sports Analytics: Building the Next Layer of the Game
The World Cup is here, and sports analytics is having its AI moment.
On June 17th, 2026, AI Tinkerers Monterrey is bringing together the local builder community to explore how autonomous agents, generative AI, and modern ML systems are changing the way we analyze, understand, and interact with sports.
Yes, soccer is the obvious excuse. We are in World Cup mode. But the focus is broader: sports analytics, real-time decision systems, multimodal AI, agentic workflows, and the infrastructure behind them. Or if you don’t really care about sports, just agentic everything, let’s talk tech!
This is a hands-on, deeply technical meetup for engineers, researchers, founders, and active builders deploying real systems. No inspirational keynotes. No vendor theater. No “AI will revolutionize….” slide decks. Just working software, live demos, architecture decisions, failure modes, and code.
We’ll also be joined by a special guest….
And yes, there will be great food. Because debugging agent workflows on an empty stomach is how production incidents are born.
🎙️ Show Your Code: Live Demos & Technical Walkthroughs
We are looking for builders working on projects at the intersection of AI and sports analytics, or just cracked ppl building with agents.
That could mean:
- Computer vision pipelines for player, ball, or referee tracking
- Tactical analysis tools for soccer, basketball, football, baseball, or other sports
- Multi-agent simulations for game strategy or decision-making
- LLM workflows for scouting reports, match summaries, or coaching assistants
- Video-to-insight systems that turn raw footage into structured events
- Fan engagement experiences powered by generative AI
- Wearables, sensor data, biomechanics, or performance analytics
- Experimental sports-tech hacks that barely work but teach us something useful
*Agentic workflows, agent harnesses, OpenClaw… or anything!
Half-baked is welcome. Fake demos are not.
Demo Guidelines
- Show, Don’t Tell: Run the project live. No slide decks.
- Expose the Internals: Walk us through the code, prompts, data pipeline, model orchestration, agents, infra, or evaluation strategy.
- Teach, Don’t Sell: Focus on what you learned, what broke, what surprised you, and what trade-offs you made.
- Make It Useful: The audience should leave with ideas they can apply to their own builds.
Have a project to share? Submit your speaker proposal here to apply for a demo slot.

Special Guest & Sponsor
We’re excited to have PostHog joining us as a special guest and sponsor for this edition of AI Tinkerers Monterrey.

PostHog builds open-source product analytics and developer tools for teams that want to understand, measure, and improve what they are building. Their perspective fits naturally with this meetup: builders showing real systems, learning from usage, and improving based on actual behavior instead of vibes.
More details about their participation will be announced soon.
Community Partner
We’re also excited to partner with Hub de Innovación y Emprendimiento Eduardo Garza T.

Their commitment to entrepreneurship, innovation, and local talent makes them a great partner for a meetup focused on builders, technical experimentation, and real-world AI projects.
Thank you to the Hub for helping make this event possible.
